The minimum scores required by the NMC are:

· Academic IELTS at a score of 6.5 in Writing and 7 in Reading, Speaking and Listening.

· OET at a score of C+ in Writing and B in Reading, Speaking and Listening.

· Apply for skilled worker visa in your home country.

· Take the OSCE examination.

· Obtain your UK NMC PIN after you pass the OSCE.

The UK NMC accepts the Academic IELTS test. To apply to become a nurse in the UK, applicants must achieve a 7.0 IELTS score in the reading, listening and speaking sections, 6.5 in writing and an overall score of 7.0.

Overseas Nurses who are looking to enter and work in the UK are required to score a B in the OET Listening, Reading and Speaking modules and a C+ in Writing. Nurses are required to obtain a minimum score of 350 out of 500 to become accredited nurses in a foreign country.

CBT also known as the Computer Based Test is the Part one of the Test of Competence required by UK NMC. You can sit your CBT. You must successfully pass this exams in order to registered with UK NMC.

Generally, UK Employers will pay for your flight from your home country to the UK, however, you will have to pay for the cost of visa and flight for your family if they are travelling with you. Yes, you will be met by a representative of your employer who will take you to your arranged accommodation. Flight details will be communicated to your employer prior to your arrival to UK.

Yes, your spouse is allowed to take full-time or part-time jobs in the UK.

After a period of 5 years in the UK, you will qualify to apply for indefinite leave to remain and can obtain a British passport in your 6th year.
